   In order for all students to be properly prepared for upcoming performances, students should be  registered and attending class by Oct. 1st.   Registrations after Oct.1st may require student to take private lessons to catch up with the rest of the class.   Teachers and students count on cooperation of all fellow students and parents to ensure their performances are the best they can be therefore a commitment for the full semester of classes is required.

Your registration is based on a full semester of classes
(Fall: Sept-Jan. & Spring: Feb-June)


Tuition:  Your tuition is due from the time you enroll for the complete semester.  Tuition is pro-rated for the year and the monthly rate remains the same although the number of lesson days per month may vary.  Tuition is due regardless of attendance.  There are no refunds or deductions for missed lessons or snow days.  There are no make-up lessons for missed classes.  Classes are one-of-a kind and are designed for the individuals enrolled in them and for the number of students in each class. As each month allows for up to 3-5 lessons (considering holiday closings, Recital and Mayfest performances and dress rehearsal), tuition is the same for each month.  The studio operates on a 10- month dance season, with the season officially beginning Monday, August 29, 2011 and ending in June after the recital.  Averaging 48 lessons for each weekday class and about four class sessions per month.   Mayfest, dress rehearsal, and the recital each count as two lessons.

Performances:   We will perform at various times throughout the year.  In the past, we have performed at Ridgmar Mall, Orchestra Hall, and Nursing homes during the holidays,  and at Mayfest. The date for the recital is tentatively set for June 8th,  at Scott Theatre with dress rehearsal the evening before.  A “Dance Etc T-shirt ($15.00) is required for students to wear at these performances throughout the year as a cover-up/identification.

PRIVATE CLASSES: The time scheduled for private classes has been reserved specifically for that student.  If you are unable to  attend your scheduled time, you must contact the office to avoid being charged for the class.  All students who schedule private classes, but do not attend them, will be charged the full amount due for the class.  Payment for all private classes will be to Dance Etc, not the individual instructor.  
 
RECITAL FEE: There is a $75($25) each additional student) recital fee from each student who chooses to participate in spring recital.  This non-refundable fee is due March 31.  It covers the cost of the rental of the building and technicians fees for their time and expertise, lighting, props, backdrops, etc.  This is in lieu of selling tickets to our family and friends & is a non-refundable obligation that all students who choose to participate in the recital must pay. 
 
                                 
COSTUME DEPOSITS: Costume deposits are collected in three payments in order to spread the cost over time.  Deposits are not refunded if the student withdraws from the studio  after the costume has been ordered.

Final balances will be due March 31st.

  

Withdrawal:  Tuition is due from the time a student enrolls for the whole semester and until a parent notifies the office by filling out a withdrawal form, this allows us to inform the teachers to be aware of choreography changes they will need to make due to the student dropping out of the performance and allows other students to join the class if they are on a waiting list.  
 
T-Shirt:  Students are required to purchase a Dance, Etc t-shirt as identification and coverup to participate in any outside performances.  These t-shirts cost $15 each.
                                     
Illness & Injuries: If a student has a major illness or injury (non-contagious), preventing her from dancing, monthly tuition is due & the student is expected to attend & observe class in order to keep her place in class.  This will allow the student to be better prepared when they are able to join the class in full.  If the student drops out, they will be required to re-register to return to classes.
